The Last Glimpse is a mixed media exhibition that explores the consequences of human dominance over the natural world and its role in accelerating the global biodiversity crisis. Through a collection of transformed found objects, immersive dioramas, and handcrafted artworks, the exhibition tells the stories of threatened and endangered species whose survival is increasingly jeopardized by human activity. These works capture fragile moments of loss while drawing attention to the ecological systems that sustain all life.

The exhibition highlights some of the leading causes of species decline, including habitat destruction and deforestation, climate change, overexploitation through hunting and overfishing, invasive species, and the illegal wildlife trade. It underscores the interconnectedness of ecosystems, where the loss of even a single species can have far-reaching consequences for the broader web of life. By presenting these realities through carefully constructed visual narratives, the exhibition makes complex environmental issues tangible and deeply personal.

Created using repurposed materials such as fabric, paper, plastic, metal, and other discarded objects collected across Chennai, the artworks transform everyday waste into powerful reflections on extinction and conservation. Employing techniques including crochet, weaving, embroidery, punch needle, and mixed media, The Last Glimpse bridges art, natural history, and environmental storytelling. The exhibition ultimately seeks to foster awareness, empathy, and a deeper sense of responsibility toward protecting the rich diversity of life that remains.
